Shipping Policy

Delivery Areas

We currently deliver to all major cities and towns across Sri Lanka. We're continuously expanding our delivery network to reach more areas.

Delivery Times

Colombo & Suburbs: 2-3 business days. Other major cities (Kandy, Galle, Jaffna, Kurunegala, etc.): 3-5 business days. Rural and remote areas: 5-10 business days. Delivery times are estimates and may vary during holiday seasons, adverse weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Shipping Rates

We charge a flat shipping rate based on your delivery location. The exact shipping cost is calculated and displayed at checkout before you complete your order. Orders over Rs. 5,000 within Colombo and suburbs qualify for free shipping.

Order Processing

Orders placed before 2:00 PM on business days are typically processed the same day. Orders placed after 2:00 PM, on weekends, or on public holidays are processed the next business day.

Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been shipped, you'll receive a confirmation email with tracking details. You can also view your order status and tracking information by going to your account's order history or the specific order detail page.

Returns Policy

Return Eligibility

We accept returns within 7 days of delivery for items that are: damaged during shipping, defective (missing pages, printing errors), or incorrect (wrong book delivered). Books must be in their original, unused condition.

How to Return

To initiate a return, please contact our support team at support@luminashopping.com or call +94 71 123 4567. Include your order number, a description of the issue, and photos of any damage or defects. Our team will guide you through the return process.

Return Shipping

For damaged, defective, or incorrect items, we cover the return shipping costs. We'll arrange a courier pickup or provide a prepaid return label. For all other cases, return shipping is at the customer's expense.

Non-Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns for: books that have been marked, written in, or otherwise used; e-books and digital products; gift cards; and items returned more than 7 days after delivery.

Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, refunds are processed within 10 business days. Bank transfer refunds are credited directly to your bank account. PayHere refunds are credited to your original payment method. You will receive an email confirmation when your refund has been processed.

Payment Policy

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept two payment methods: Bank Transfer and PayHere. For bank transfers, you'll need to manually transfer the total to our bank account and upload a payment slip. PayHere supports instant payments via Visa, Mastercard, and mobile wallets.

Bank Transfer Details

Our bank account details are provided during checkout and on your order confirmation page. Please use your order number as the payment reference. Bank transfer orders are processed after we verify your payment slip — this typically takes 1 business day.

Payment Security

PayHere payments are processed on PayHere's secure servers. We never store your credit card details. Bank transfer slips are stored securely using Vercel Blob and are only accessible to authorized staff for verification purposes.

Pricing

All prices on our website are listed in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes. Prices are subject to change without notice, but the price at the time of your order will be honored.

Failed Payments

If your payment fails or is declined, your order will not be processed. For PayHere payments that appear successful on your end but aren't confirmed by our system, please contact us with the payment reference number and we'll investigate.

Order Protection

Lost Packages

If your order hasn't arrived within the estimated delivery window, please contact us. We'll investigate with the courier and, if the package is confirmed lost, send a replacement or issue a full refund.

Damaged in Transit

If your package arrives with visible damage, please take photos before opening it and contact us immediately. We'll arrange a replacement or refund for any books damaged during transit.

Wrong Items

If you receive the wrong book, keep the item in its original condition and contact us within 7 days. We'll arrange for the correct book to be shipped and the wrong item to be collected at no cost to you.
